Pays d’Oc — terroir, soils & grape varieties

Between the Mediterranean and the hills of Languedoc-Roussillon, the Pays d’Oc PGI brings together varietal wines and blends. Its territory combines coastal plains, slopes and high-altitude vineyards.

A territory between sea and mountains

The Mediterranean climate combines hot, dry summers with mild winters. Sea breezes temper the heat, while altitude and distance from the sea modulate vineyard conditions.

Soils vary: coastal sands, limestone, schist, clay and stony gravels. This diversity accompanies the range of vineyard locations, from plains to slopes.

Varieties and blends

Created in 1987, the label developed around varietal wines. It also accommodates blends. Its palette of 58 varieties allows producers to compose distinctive red, white and rosé cuvées.
